Packaging company Ampac has received the Interstate Milk Suppliers (IMS) certification.

Ampac says this opens up opportunities for the company to address a market for dairy products in flexible packaging. It identifies this as a growing segment.

IMS certification is needed for use in the US dairy industry.

Ampac says it sees its spouted stand up pouches as a ‘natural fit’ for the dairy industry. The certification will allow it to expand its pouches to dairy foods.

As an IMS certified facility, Ampac’s Hanover Park centre, Illinois, can now provide printed laminations and/or pre-made pouches (with or without spouts) to the dairy industry.

Ampac is a flexible packaging company. Its food applications include processed foods, seafood, condiments, frozen foods, and beverages.
