Geoffrey Babidge is managing director of The a2 Milk Company, the Auckland-based firm behind a2 Milk.
a2 Milk is rich is A2 beta casein protein, but contains no A1 beta casein protein, which has been linked to digestive discomfort.
It now controls a 9% share of the Australian fresh milk market in value terms.
In 2014, Babidge fought off attempts by Australian rivals to discredit a2 Milk, which is set to launch in the US next year.
Shipments of the company's a2 Platinum infant formula resumed in July after a short break (pictured).
